Piers Morgan has poked fun at fellow broadcaster Jon Snow after he tweeted of his ‘loneliness’ from his self-imposed isolation at his home.
The Channel 4 News presenter, 72, is sheltering himself for 14 days as per Department for Health guidelines after he visited coronavirus-hit Iran to cover elections.
He has been tweeting updates on his exile on Twitter and even appeared via video link on his news program, despite saying he has no symptoms of the deadly virus.

He tweeted last night: ‘6 days of isolation down: 8 to go… it’s one lonely place despite all the online contact.
‘We’re halfway to 14 days tomorrow night: me here, and out there a few miles away: My cameraman Ray, my Producer Fede. Sleep well guys,’ he wrote of colleagues also in isolation.

He added: ‘Hang on in there Snowy, we’re all rooting for you as you sit at home, doing no work, with zero sign of anything wrong with you, tweeting these riveting updates.’

Morgan then added three prayer emojis.
Snow told Channel 4 News via a videolink from his home: ‘I woke up this morning feeling rather tired, but that was from the trip.
‘But we weren’t actually anywhere near where the main virus outbreak has occurred.’
He said that he is ‘not really supposed to congregate with any crowds or go anywhere where there may be people’, adding: ‘So that means I’m sitting at home.

‘To be honest, the absolute enormity of the prospect of 14 days hasn’t really hit me.’
He added: ‘Maybe if you call me again in 14 days you will have a headcase on your hands.’
Iran’s death toll from coronavirus has jumped by 11 in just a day, bringing the total number of people to have died from the deadly virus to 54.
Health Ministry spokesman Kianush Jahanpur made the announcement on state TV today, as he confirmed the number of those infected has now reached 978.
He called on Iranians to avoid any unnecessary trips and stay at home after the country saw a huge spike in cases, despite officials still trying to downplay the reach of the virus.
