Amanda Holden has paid a poignant tribute to Caroline Flack by wearing a ‘Be Kind’ T-shirt on the day of her funeral.

The 49-year-old presenter donned the charity T-shirt bearing the former Love Island host’s likeness to host Heart Breakfast on Tuesday.

The top was designed by Keith Lemon in the wake of Caroline’s tragic suicide aged 40 last month, with all proceeds raised from sales going to mental health charity Samaritans.

The Britain’s Got Talent star kept the caption simple, writing: ‘Morning @thisisheart #bekind’.

She added a black heart emoji and kept the rest of her look sombre.

Amanda linked back to the website where the T-shirts are available on her Stories, encouraging others to purchase one.

Keith Lemon – played by Leigh Francis – starred alongside Caroline in Bo’ Selecta! where she was given her big break in television back in 2002.

Announcing his decision to create the tee, Keith shared a photo of himself wearing the black T-shirt that features Caroline’s face and the message ‘Be Kind’ – a sentiment Caroline had previously shared and has since gone viral as a hashtag across social media.

Paying tribute to Caroline in the caption of his post, Keith wrote: ‘Like everyone I was absolutely shocked by the news of what happened to Caroline.

‘All the recent events just seemed so unreal. I’d been friends with Caroline for many years. Since before telly happened. In more recent times, I’d not seen Caroline as much as I had years ago, but it was always like old times when I saw her.

‘I did this T-shirt to spread Caroline’s own words and to raise money for the Samaritans.’

He added: ‘100% of profits will go to @samaritanscharity and the link is in my bio or tap the pic.

‘For more information on the amazing work The Samaritans do, or if you are looking for any support, please go to samaritans.org or call them directly on 116 123.’

His message concluded: ‘Will miss you Flack. Love to your family x.’

Flack, 40, was found dead at her home in Stoke Newington, London last month, one day after finding out the CPS was pursuing case of assault against her.

There has been a huge outpouring of grief from celebrity friends and fans since the former Xtra Factor host’s death on February 15.

Speaking about Flack’s passing last week, ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall said: ‘So many people at ITV knew Caroline, including me, and it was unbelievably tragic.

‘I think that we can never know what is behind suicide. It is not in any way simple. It is a very, very complex thing.

‘We take advice from (mental health charities) Samaritans and Mind and we will continue to do that.’

The popular TV host’s family shared an Instagram post advisers had told her not to share online.

Part of it read: ‘I’m so sorry to my family for what I have brought upon them and for what my friends have had to go through.

‘I’m not thinking about “how I’m going to get my career back”. I’m thinking about how I’m going to get mine and my family’s life back.’
