Little Women: LA star Christy Gibel welcomes daughter seven weeks early

Christy Gibel and Gonzalo Justo Carazo have welcomed a baby girl.

The Little Women: LA star’s daughter Violet Eva Carazo arrived on Friday – seven weeks early – weighing 3 lbs., 15 oz. and measuring just 15 inches in length.

‘The family welcomes your thoughts and prayers, but requests privacy during this difficult time,’ a rep for the family told PEOPLE. 

In a photo shared with PEOPLE the couple can be seen smiling with their tiny newborn who lies on a pink blanket hooked up to a heart monitor and IV drip.

Christy is also mom to daughter Autumn, 20, and son Trenton, 22, from a previous marriage. 

One week ago Christy, 42, and Carazo, 33, shared an ultrasound of their little girl with Carazo’s caption: ‘Our beautiful baby girl’s ultrasound. Experiencing this entire journey has taught me a lot about life and has opened up my eyes on how magical this journey of becoming a first time parent really is.’

He finished his message, ‘I can’t wait to meet our baby girl!  #VioletEva #BabyC #1srTimeDad #DadToBe #Inlovewithlife’. 

Christy, who has appeared on the Lifetime show since 2014, announced in September that she was expecting a baby with Carazo. 

‘I’m so excited that we are having a baby. What a big blessing. Good things come to those who wait,’ she said at the time. 

‘Our bundle of joy is coming April 2020,’ she added.

In February Christy revealed she was having contractions.

Alongside a photo of her belly, she wrote: She is not ready. Please pray that contractions stop’.

Christy was previously married to Todd Gibel who she wed in 2014 before filing for an annulment last June. The month prior she had filed for a temporary restraining order against her husband.

Their marriage was dissolved last month, according to TMZ, who reported the two are yet to figure out how to split their marital assets including a dog named Elvis.
