Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty asks a judge for permission to use the Internet after registering as a sex offender

Nicki Minaj‘s husband Kenneth Petty may have had to register as a sex offender, but he still wants to be able to use the Internet.

Under the conditions of his pending criminal case, he isn’t allowed to use the Internet, unless it is approved by a supervisor.

The prosecutors in his case have approved the request, but the judge still has to sign off and it’s not clear if he will do so.

Petty plead guilty to failing to register as a sex offender, and he currently has a curfew and has to wear an ankle monitor.

He is currently awaiting his court date next month and his travel has been restricted to Southern California.

His sex offender status stems from a 1995 conviction in New York for first degree statutory rape when he was 16 years of age and his victim was 15.

Prosecutors said at his trial in April 1995 that Petty used a sharp object to force his victim to have sexual intercourse with him.

Petty served nearly four years in a New York state prison for the crime, and several years later, he was convicted of first-degree manslaughter for shooting a man and served another seven years in prison before he was released in 2013.

Minaj released the new song Yikes in February, and she said her album will feature her ‘alter ego’ known as Queen Sleeze.

She added that Queen Sleeze is, ‘more calm but way deadlier. My husband always says he’s more afraid when I talk quiet then when I yell.’

There is no indication yet when the album will be released at this time.
