Victoria Beckham and best pal Eva Longoria have been keeping in touch with ‘wine o’clock Zooms’ during lockdown

Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria have been chatting to each other during ‘wine ‘clock Zooms’ throughout lockdown.

The fashion designer, 46, has kept in regular contact with her 46-year-old actress best friend despite the big time difference between the UK and the US.

Eva told OK! Magazine: ‘We speak all the time, we’ve had wine o’clock Zooms, even though it’s hard because of the time difference.’

The Desperate Housewives actress added that she’s actually spent more time getting in contact with good friends than she did before lockdown because she misses them more.

‘I’ve actually done more connecting with my good friends than I did before. I guess this has been a great thing in terms of the way it has affected my friendships, because now we actually make time for each other because we miss each other so much,’ she explained.

Eva has been isolating with her husband Jose Baston and their son, Santiago, two in Los Angeles while Victoria, her husband David and their four children are in the Cotswolds, UK.

And even though certain restrictions in Eva’s area have been relaxed, she still isn’t leaving the house.

Eva has said she isn’t convinced that US authorities have done enough to reduce the rate of infection for the virus.

She said that even though she misses going to the cinema and eating out at restaurants she isn’t confident that it’s safe enough to go out again yet.

The star has been making the most of the family time she’s had in lockdown and has enjoyed seeing more of her son.

She added: ‘I’ve been lucky because I have my son Santi. He is the biggest stress-reliever for me because he’s pure joy, fun and love.

‘Usually I’m busy reading scripts and TV shows – but now I can read what I want to read.’

Eva has also enjoyed how having more down time has allowed for her to flex her cooking muscles more, something she finds therapeutic.

She and her family have been splitting their time in lockdown between their Los Angeles home and their estate in Mexico.
