Alexandra fielded many questions from fans with profound professions about struggles with drink and other addictions before she was asked about hospital.

When asked if she had been admitted to hospital for drinking or alcohol related incidences, Alexandra responded: ‘Yes I have and I was awful. I’ve actually ended up in hospital a fair few times because of alcohol.

‘I actually feel like such an a**hole for the times I ended up there (self inflicted) because I’ve potentially wasted doctors’ time through being irresponsible where they could have been helping someone else.’

Alexandra added: ‘My anxiety got so bad that I would have awful, panic attacks where I genuinely thought I was going to die.

‘I got taken to hospital a few times because it was that bad I couldn’t breathe. I never want to feel that way ever again.’

She then penned a lengthy and impassioned message about losing loved ones to alcohol: ‘From someone who has lost loved ones due to alcoholism and drug addiction and almost ending up on a bad path with it myself…

‘That message has touched me beyond belief. You have no idea how much it means to me that you guys appreciate my advice and opinion. Not only that but you trust me with your stories and personal experiences…

‘I feel honoured that you feel you can be so open with me. Life throws shit at us sometimes but I’ve always just tried to find strength in every sad situation…

‘You continue to give me life on a daily basis and keep me going even when times are tough. I can’t thank you enough.

Following the Q&A, Alexandra shared snaps while looking teary and penned over the top: ‘Feel the emotion. Welcome it. Sit with it. Let it go. Literally can’t read any more DMs because I can’t stop crying – I’m too emotional. Love you.’

The previous day, she again reflected on her decision to go teetotal, after a fan asked for advice on setting boundaries with friends during social outings.

She responded: ‘By saying ”I don’t drink” and not feeling guilty about it. Be firm with your decisions. People shouldn’t question your behaviour – if they do and give you a hard time about it then you maybe you need to reassess the people you’re socialising with.

‘Cutting alcohol for me has definitely meant losing a few acquaintances along the way but it just clarified even more who my true friends are.

‘If you feel uncomfortable going to bars/nights out maybe suggest doing daytime activities with people or other things that don’t involved drinking! There’s so much fun to be had without alcohol being involved!’

Aside from alcohol and documenting her recent weight loss journey, Alexandra also spoke candidly about her own journey to accepting her appearance, after being asked if she’s always been as confident as she seems.

She responded: ‘Not at all. I used to put on a brave face as when I was young I was a dancer/performer so I became really good at putting on a smily when deep down that wasn’t truly how I was feeling.

‘I’ve been self-accepting for years (I think this happens as you get older, priorities change and you realise that your looks are actually the least interesting thing about you) but I’d say now I’m the most confident I’ve ever been in my life.’
