He made the tough decision to leave The Bachelorette mansion on Thursday night’s episode as he was desperate to get home to his son Xavier. 

And on Friday, Harry Harris revealed what his ex-wife and House Rules co-star Kate Whiting really thought about his appearance on the Channel Ten dating show. 

In an interview with Who magazine, the 35-year-old reality star explained that Kate gave him her ‘full support’.

‘She sort of understood why I wanted to go on the show and she had backed me, which is really nice. I couldn’t have done it without her,’ he explained. 

‘She put out there what could come about from the show, both the negatives and the positives and I decided to give it a go and she gave me her full support.’

Harry appeared on House Rules in 2017 with Kate – who he shares five-year-old son Xavier with – but the pair called it quits in 2018 after nine years together.

The couple made the grand final of the Channel Seven renovation series, but missed out on the $200,000 top prize to Aaron and Daniella Winter.

Discussing their split at the time, Kate said the couple – who were renowned for their fiery conflicts on the show – would remain ‘great friends’ and agreed to co-parent Xavier who is their ‘number one priority’. 

‘It is with great sadness we share that Harry and I are no longer together,’ Kate penned on Instagram at the time.
