No to homeschooling! Davina McCall admits she got ‘so annoyed’ while homeschooling her three children on Saturday’s The Jonathan Ross Show

The TV star has three children – Holly, 19, Tilly, 17, and Chester, 14, with ex-husband Matthew Robertson, 52. They split in 2017 and she is now loved-up with hairdresser boyfriend Michael Douglas.

Davina tells Jonathan, 60: ‘I just got so annoyed and I was so short-tempered. I posted something on Instagram saying, “I’ve been in tears, I am the worst parent ever, I can’t do the teaching, I’m so undisciplined, I feel so terrible for them…”

‘Then my best friend sent me a pic of a quokka. When prey is nearby, they offer up their young so they don’t get killed. She said, “At least you’re not a quokka.”‘

Davina also reflects on the precious family time she had, she continues: ‘My daughter Holly, she’s just turned 19 she went off to uni in September.

‘To have that time with the three of them together, we’ll never get that time again, ever.’

Summarising their time together, Davina jokes: ‘Breakfast, lunch and dinner altogether all the time, was funny, interesting, loud, argumentative, it was all of those great emotions really concentrated.’

Davina looks incredible for her interview on the ITV chatshow and wows in a stunning off-the-shoulder red midi dress.

Talking about Mo’s approach to guessing the celebrities, who sing while wearing a disguise, Davina quips: ‘You know what I’m like with my note taking… I am so forensic with clues, with peoples’ voices and the tone of things.

‘Mo writes one name on a page and then just sits back!’

She sweetly adds: ‘I love Mo. You make me laugh. When you start laughing, I laugh. You pre-empt all your stories with a laugh. I love it, I just love being around you, you laugh non-stop.’

Elsewhere during the chat, Davina admits that there is a fake addition on her Wikipedia page but she refuses to change it.

The star reveals that she lived in Paris for one year as a singing waitress at a jazz club, but someone has put that she worked at the Moulin Rouge.

She reveals: ‘There was an amazing thing on Wikipedia – I’ve left it on – I went to live in Paris for a year and I was a singing waitress in a jazz club. You’d be singing on stage, you’d get off and go and serve people dinner. I got great tips.

‘That turned into on Wiki that I was a dancer at Moulin Rouge. I was like that’s staying on there.’

Davina has had a successful TV career and goes on to discuss one of her starting shows, the 1996 programme God’s Gift.

She says: ‘My dad told my granny I’d got a job on grown up telly. She thought it was a religious programme…

‘This was my big break on proper telly and it went out on Wednesday night at midnight. It was so decadent and it was so cheap, I wrote all my own scripts – I’m not funny, I’m only funny by accident. In the end I was running out of things to say!

‘I had to dress myself – never let me dress myself ever. I had £20 an episode to dress myself and a wonky fringe. I think we managed to not let her [my granny] see not one episode.’

The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday 5 December at 9:30pm on ITV.
