Blonde ambition! SAS Australia star Firass Dirani looks almost unrecognisable as he debuts his new lighter hair transformation

He was cast in Underbelly: The Golden Mile thanks to his likeness to John Ibrahim.

And after getting some new blonde highlights this week, Firass Dirani looks even more like the King Cross identity.

The 36-year-old showed off his new lighter hair colour in an Instagram video on Thursday.

In the clip, Firass put his new ‘do on full display as he filmed himself and a pal singing in the car.

Firass’ usually dark brunette locks now feature blonde highlights and even his beard appears slightly lighter in colour.

The actor was kicked off SAS Australia last month after ruffling his co-stars’ feathers throughout the entire season.

He was ordered to turn in his armband by chief instructor Ant Middleton during a shock elimination.

And while he initially branded Ant’s decision to send him home as ‘the worst decision’ he’d ever heard of, there proved to be no hard feelings.

Sitting down for a one-on-one conversation with Ant, 39, Firass told the former soldier he was feeling ‘super energised from the experience’ of being on the show.

Ant then confessed that a large part of the reason why he often butted heads with Firass on the course was because they’re ‘very similar’.

‘You’re louder than life. Very similar to myself. There’s lots of traits I saw in you, hence why we had them little pep talks and we progressed like we did,’ Ant told him.

But while they regularly clashed, Ant insisted that it had been an ‘absolute pleasure’ having Firass on the show.

The two men then shared a hug, before Firass confessed he was feeling ‘relieved’ to be going home.
