A violent robber who carjacked an elderly couple at gunpoint while on bail for ramming police with a stolen car has been jailed for 14 years.
Footage shows 17-year-old Jobi Nembhard pinning a 60-year-old man to the ground on the driveway of his house in Castle Bromwich, West Midlands, before the victim’s wife bravely runs out to try to stop him.
After a scuffle, the cowardly robber gets into the couple’s £40,000 Mercedes AMG and reverses out of the driveway – narrowly missing the man, who broke his hip in the attack, as he crawls to safety.
Weeks earlier, Nembhard had been caught driving a stolen car and was boxed in by police cars before he tried to ram them to escape. Dramatic footage shows an officer smashing his window with a baton before pulling the teenager out.

Nembhard, who is now 18, was jailed for 14 years after he admitted a string of robberies and carjackings on Thursday.
Birmingham Crown Court heard he first struck on February 5 when he smashed through patio doors of a house in the middle of the night in Castle Bromwich, West Mids.
He pointed a suspected imitation gun at the 79-year-old victim and threatened to shoot him in the face before making off with his Audi S4 Quattro.
On February 15 police spotted him driving the stolen car in Lode Lane in Solihull, and boxed him in at traffic lights.

Nembhard was released on bail but while free he struck again on March 24 when he stole a VW Golf GTI from a house in Kingshurst in Solihull.
On April 1 he and several accomplices attacked the elderly couple in Tackford Close in Castle Bromwich when he drove off in their Mercedes AMG.
CCTV showed him narrowly missing running over the husband, who suffered a broken hip, as he reversed the car out of their driveway.
He was finally arrested when officers from Warwickshire Police spotted him walking in Bidford-in-Avon on April 13.
He was arrested and his fingerprints found on a BB handgun recovered from a rucksack inside the vehicle.
Nembhard, from Smiths Wood, was charged with three home invasion robberies, a carjacking and dangerous driving.
He admitted dangerous driving but denied the other offences. However, a jury took less than two hours to find him guilty on all counts.
His accomplices – who can be seen in the video – were never identified.

Detective Sergeant Adam Buzzard, of West Midlands Police, said: ‘Nembhard showed himself to be a heartless criminal who was prepared to attack pensioners, and put them in fear for their lives, in his pursuit of high-value cars.
‘One of his victims, a 60-year-old man, suffered a broken hip having been thrown to the ground during a carjacking.
‘I wish him well in his continued recovery and indeed all Nembhard’s victims who have been subjected to traumatic ordeals.
‘Nembhard didn’t have much in terms of past criminal convictions, just some shoplifting offences.
‘But this was a shocking series of offences, a violent carjacking and home invasions where victims feared they were being threatened with live firearms.
‘He wasn’t profiting from these offences: we recovered all of the cars he took.
‘And yet now he’s going to be spending what should be the best years of his life locked up behind bars.’
