I’m A Celebrity shock medical emergency: Stars scream in pain during brutal ice bath challenge – as Jack Vidgen is treated by a medic in the jungle

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will return on Thursday night with a brutal ‘ice bucket challenge’ that could easily be mistaken for a scene in SAS Australia

Preview footage of the gruelling challenge shows Grant Denyer, Jack Viden, Pettifleur Beranger and Travis Varcoe swimming in tanks of ice cold water as they attempt to win points for their teams.

The celebrities were tasked with continuously swimming to the bottom of their tanks to pump a lever.

But it wasn’t long before the foursome began shaking uncontrollably and screaming out in pain.

Elsewhere, Travis is seen gasping for breath as he shouts, ‘oh my god,’ while Pettifleur shivers and groans in pain.

However, it is pop singer Jack Vidgen who seems most affected by the agonising ordeal, with medical staff rushing to his aid as soon as challenge is over.

Footage obtained by News Corp shows a medical team wrapping the singer in a space blanked to prevent him from getting hypothermia.

‘Not being able to take a breath because you feel like your whole body’s just contracting because of how cold you are,’ Jack tells producers.
