He is best known for his role as clean-cut Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey.

But Jamie Dornan looked worse for wear during filming for The Tourist in outback  Australia on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old sported a head would as he hobbled around the set of the upcoming Thriller series.

Fake blood was seen trickling out of the Northern Irish actor’s head as he appeared to make his way inside a local diner during the scenes.

The star was dressed in dirty and sweaty T-shirt, jeans and a pair of Blundstone boots.

He looked worlds away from his iconic character Christian Grey, thanks to his rugged beard.

In the series, Jamie will play a British man who finds himself stuck in the Australian Outback.

His character is injured in a hospital and unaware of his identity. He returns to the outback to find answers about his past.

‘The Tourist are some of the most exciting scripts I’ve ever read. I can’t wait to go to Australia with such a talented group of people,’ Jamie said.

The six-part thriller series will also star some of Australia’s biggest names including Hugo Weaving.

Hugo is best known for his roles in The Matrix trilogy and Priscilla Queen of The Desert.

The actor revealed he is looking forward to filming, saying: ‘This is a totally unique project and should be an unforgettable ride and shoot for us all’.

Shalom Brune-Franklin, who has starred in Channel Nine’s Doctor Doctor and Bad Mothers, is also gearing up to bring the series and her character Luci, to life.

‘This story is really unique and I’m excited to be part of bringing it to life with this brilliant team,’ she said.

‘It’s very exciting to be working on such a great project in Australia – it’s going to be a lot of fun,’ Shalom added.

South Australia has recently become a hot spot for exciting new local productions, with Stan Original film Gold starring Zac Efron, recently filmed there.
