Shoppers are obsessing over a $99 ‘ceiling airer’ that allows them to dry their laundry indoors when they can’t use a clothesline outside on rainy days.

Mum-of-two Erin found a clever space saving drying solution inside her home after she discovered the nifty product at Bunnings Warehouse.

‘My new favourite Bunnings buy, we have really high ceilings and we live in a cold climate so normally have clothes airers all around the lounge room near the fire to dry the clothes – not any more,’ she wrote in a Facebook group.

The $99 ceiling airer from Bunnings was praised by mum-of-two Erin who recommended the handy product to others part of the Bunnings Mums Australia Facebook group

Since heat rises, it’s believed the clothes will dry quicker if hung at a higher level compared to on the ground.

But while the airer is a helpful alternative, it may not be a suitable option for houses or apartments that don’t have high ceilings.

‘What a fantastic size! That would fit so much on it,’ another said.

Other commented how their mothers and grandparents used a similar product when they were children 40 years ago.

‘Wow isn’t it funny how we revert to old traditional ways because they work so well,’ another commented.
