Spanish papers have been reacting to Carlo Ancelotti‘s shock reunion with Real Madrid as manager this morning, with one outlet describing the move as an ‘unmissable opportunity.’
Ancelotti opted to leave Everton on Tuesday, despite having three years left on his £11m-a-year contract, to re-join the club he left in 2015.
Back in his first two-year stint, he guided the club to the 2014 Champions League – the club’s 10th European Cup known as ‘La Decima’ – and AS gave further detail on the 61-year-old’s return to the Spanish capital ahead of his expected presentation today.

They state that the Italian has signed a three-year deal with the club, after Madrid realised PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino was ‘impossible to get.’
Madrid were also looking at Max Allegri, before the Italian also decided to opt for a reunion with Juventus.
Meanwhile, Marca also told of Ancelotti’s three-year contract at the Bernabeu, running under the headline ‘The man who brought La Decima returns’.
Ancelotti also won the Copa del Rey, European Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his first stint with the club.
Ancelotti replaces Zinedine Zidane, who left the club for the second time as one of their greatest ever coaches, winning an unprecedented three consecutive Champions Leagues between 2016 and 2018 plus the 2017 and 2020 LaLiga titles and two FIFA Club World Cups.

Ancelotti, meanwhile, is one of the most successful managers in the modern-era, having won league titles in England, France, Italy and Germany, as well as another two European cups at AC Milan.
In a statement on Tuesday, Ancelotti said: ‘I would like to thank the board, the players and the Evertonians for the tremendous support they have all given me during my time at the club.
‘I have complete respect for everyone associated with Everton. I hope they can achieve the exciting opportunities they have in front of them.
‘While I have enjoyed being at Everton I have been presented with an unexpected opportunity which I believe is the right move for me and my family at this time.’
