Dana White predicts Tyron Woodley WILL knock out Jake Paul in August but issues UFC star warning

Dana White predicts Tyron Woodley WILL knock out Jake Paul in August showdown – despite making wrong prediction in YouTube star’s last fight with Ben Askren – though admits the UFC fighter ‘isn’t the same f****** guy he was four years ago’

  • Tyron Woodley is set to take on Jake Paul in a professional boxing match soon
  • The UFC fighter will face the YouTube star – undefeated in boxing – on August 28
  • Dana White predicts 39-year-old Woodley will knock Paul out later this summer
  • But the UFC supremo wrongly predicted Paul would lose to Ben Askren in April

Dana White has predicted Tyron Woodley will knock out YouTuber Jake Paul in their August 28 fight, but warns the UFC star ‘isn’t the same f****** guy he was four years ago.’

MMA competitor Woodley, 39, will be the next figure to try and stop YouTube star Paul’s unbeaten start to the boxing world, after the 24-year-old beat British streaming star AnEnson Gib and American sporting icons Nate Robinson and Ben Askren.

Woodley held the UFC Welterweight Championship for two-and-a-half years between 2016 and 2019 but has lost his last four MMA outings.

While UFC supremo White predicts the veteran should win later this summer, he issued Paul with some hope.

White told Mike Swick’s Podcast: ‘You tell me – when is the last time you saw Woodley look like Woodley? (But) I’d have to go with Woodley by knockout.

‘Listen, man. Woodley should knock him out. But, again, the Tyron Woodley that you talk about, that was the champ, isn’t the same f****** guy he was four years ago.’

UFC president White ended up being wrong the last time he predicted a Jake Paul fight, as he ‘bet a million dollars’ that the YouTube star would lose to Askren in April of this year.

White told Mike Tyson’s HotBoxin’ podcast before the Paul-Askren contest: ‘Let’s be honest. Jake Paul is not a f****** boxer. This guy’s a f***** YouTube kid.

‘So you’re saying he can fight? So the kid he’s going to fight, Askren, he’s a wrestler. A real good, decorated wrestler. But he’s actually fought real guys. He’s been a world champion in other organisations than MMA.

‘I’ll bet a million dollars he (Paul) loses this f****** fight.’

Paul responded to White’s claims by not only doubling the stakes for the bet but also challenging the UFC supremo to a fight in the ring himself.

The YouTuber went on to defeat Askren in April via a first-round technical knockout in Atlanta.

In a March Instagram video, Paul said: ‘Dana let’s double the bet up! $2 Million. $4 million total. Winner takes all.

‘My team will be in touch to make a contract. After I knockout Ben, we can set up Jake Paul Vs. Dana White 2021 since you consider yourself a “Boxer” and me a “YouTuber”‘
