After receiving a kiss on the forehead, the 29-year-old hid his face and wiped his eyes as staff clapped and cheered, before holding the huge full glass aloft.

The post’s caption read: ‘Jorginho being celebrated in an Italian restaurant in London after winning the Champions League with Chelsea,’ followed by a crown emoji.

Former Napoli star Jorginho has divided opinion among Chelsea supporters during his stint at the club after signing for £50million in July 2018.

He has played regularly since then, with 141 appearances and 17 goals in all competitions in three seasons, and was the top scorer in the Premier League for Thomas Tuchel’s side – although all seven strikes were penalties.

Although described by some fans as monotonous and one-dimensional in possession, his passing range and the control he can wield on matches has seen him become a crucial cog in the midfield alongside the relentless N’Golo Kante.

Jorginho was born in Brazil, but has been capped 28 times by Italy and after being named in Roberto Mancini’s Euro 2020 squad is set to feature for the Italians at the tournament this summer.
