Wolves are braced for an offer from Arsenal this week for Ruben Neves.

Wolves are open to selling Portuguese midfielder Neves for the right price after his four years at Molineux, alerting the Gunners.

The Midlands club sold Diogo Jota to Liverpool for £41m last summer and are expected to hold out for a similar sum for Neves, who has three years left on his current contract.

Brighton’s Yves Bissouma is another name on Arsenal’s midfield shortlist.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Jose Mourinho’s Roma are in talks over a deal for Granit Xhaka, a regular last season, whose departure would create a vacancy in Mikel Arteta’s midfield.

Neves has been a central figure in Wolves rise and consolidation in the Premier League since his arrival from Porto in 2017 for a then club record £15.8m fee.

He was influential as Wolves were promoted as Championship winners in his first campaign and rewarded with a new long-term contract following his debut season at the club.

The Portuguese midfielder continued to feature regularly for Wolves in the top-flight, helping them secure two seventh and a 13th-placed finish and also reach the Europa League quarter-finals last in 2019-20.
