Belgium’s scintellating team goal to equalise against Denmark left commentator Ally McCoist nearly running out of superlatives – calling it a ‘Playstation goal’.

Roberto Martinez’s men came from behind to seal a 2-1 win over the Danes in Copenhagen and book their place in the next round of Euro 2020, with both strikes catching the eye as the Red Devils pushed into high gear.

But it was Thorgan Hazard’s opener that left McCoist raving as the brother of Real Madrid star Eden sweeped home following a breathtaking passing move down the right hand side.

Just after the half time interval, Romelu Lukaku started the move after pouncing on a loose ball as he bursted down the flank, leaving a pursuing Danish defender on the floor in his wake, eventually breaking into the box and pulling it back for Manchester City star De Bruyne – on as a sub.

The playmaker took a subtle touch and looked as if he was about to pull the trigger, before deftly pulling it back for Hazard to prod home from close range.

The brilliant move was hailed by former Rangers boss McCoist, who said on ITV: ‘What a goal this is. It’s a magnificent goal from start to finish.

‘The build up play – Lukaku does superbly well. Look at this for composure – you think he’s hitting it, he doesn’t, squares it, tap in. It’s a Playstation goal, simple as that. Absolutely brilliant.

‘De Bruyne’s awareness of people around him is absolutely unbelievable. You’ve always got a chance when you bring players like that off the bench. It’s a wonderfully executed goal.’

Belgium weren’t done there and they produced another goal worthy of praise as De Bruyne got on the scoresheet with a superb strike from outside the box.

A great lofted ball over the top was perfectly pinged to the feet of Lukaku, who had company around him inside the box. The Inter Milan star used his strength to hold up the play, holding off a number of players and dribbling in and out of challenges before passing to Youri Tielemans.

The Leicester City man then provided for De Bruyne – who thumped home his effort into the corner of the net.

Both sides had earlier paid tribute to Christian Eriksen as he continues his recovery from a cardiac arrest suffered in their first game against Finland – kicking the ball out of play to applaud their No. 10 in the tenth minute of the game.

The team had been left delirious after Yussuf Poulsen put them ahead after just two minutes in Copenhagen, but Belgium rallied in the second half and showed their true class as tournament contenders.
