  • Massimiliano Allegri left before Aaron Ramsey had played a game for Juventus
  • Ramsey has struggled for regular starts under Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo
  • But Ramsey could be back in favour with the return of Allegri, who signed him
  • He has two years left on his contract amid interest from Premier League clubs

Massimiliano Allegri’s return to Juventus has given Aaron Ramsey hope that he still has a future at the club.

Despite reports in Italy last week claiming that he’s looking to negotiate the termination of his contract, Sky Sports News have reported that this isn’t the case, and he wants a future at Juventus.

Allegri, who returned for his second spell as Juventus manager in May, signed Ramsey from Arsenal on a free transfer in 2019, but left the club before the Welshman had played a game for the Old Lady.

Since then, Ramsey has struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting line-up under former managers Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo. The 30-year-old started 11 Serie A matches under Sarri and just nine during Pirlo’s stint.

That’s cast doubt over his future at the club, with plenty of interest from Premier League clubs.

Ramsey has two years left on his contract, and is hopeful of playing the No 8 tole for Juventus’, which was a huge factor in him signing for the club in the first place.

Ramsey, who has 67 caps for Wales, starred in the side’s 2-0 victory against Turkey, before being knocked out by Denmark in the last-16.
