Ian Thorpe’s ex Ryan Channing has shared some exciting news with fans. 

Chatting exclusively to Daily Mail Australia this week, the skincare entrepreneur revealed he’s filming a pilot for a new reality TV show with Netflix in LA

The 31-year-old, who split with Aussie Olympic swimming champion Ian Thorpe in November 2019, is the founder of The Blaq Group, which houses the skincare brands Blaq, Flight Mode, and Generation Skin.

Ryan said the show, called The Skintrepreneurs, will follow the journey of The Blaq Group, which is the largest skincare exporter in Australia. 

The Blaq Group works with a number of beauty subscription boxes in the US, including Ipsy, Boxycharm and Fab, Fit Fun and has sent an incredible nine million products to America for customers so far.  

The show will follow Ryan, Andreas Abellana, the head of brand development at Blaq and the buyers at the subscription services as they get their products to customers in the US.

Ryan promised the show will have lots of drama and will rival the likes of Selling Sunset. 

‘It’ll take a dive into the exciting skincare industry in the USA,’ Ryan said.

‘Think Selling Sunset but the high drama, product development and marketing collaborations,’ he said, referring to working with the likes of Khloe Kardashian with the Ipsy subscription.

‘We’re off to LA to shoot the pilot. We’re just at the pilot stage but it’s super exciting for us and our brand partners to give viewers an insight into the super exciting skincare industry.’ 

It was confirmed in November 2019 that Ryan and Olympian Ian Thorpe, 38, had split for good, after seemingly rekindling their romance.

The pair had previously called it quits in June following four years of dating.

Ryan was Ian’s first public boyfriend since he came out as gay in an interview with Michael Parkinson in 2014.

In June last year meanwhile, Ryan announced his engagement to Brisbane-based civil engineer Leevon Baptiste. 

Ryan told Daily Mail Australia at the time: ‘I’m getting married to the man of my dreams!’
