10 people shot in Chicago – including three teens – in two shootings within five minutes 

BREAKING: Ten people including three teenagers are injured in two shootings just three blocks apart in Chicago

  • Ten people were shot in two separate shootings in Chicago Wednesday evening 
  • The two shootings happened in the North Lawndale section  in Chicago
  • It’s unclear if the two shootings are connected
  • All victims have being treated at hospitals. Two are in critical condition 

Ten people were shot in the North Lawndale section on the west side of Chicago Wednesday night in two separate shootings five minutes apart. 

Five people – including three teenagers – were shot around 6:05pm. 

About five minutes later, police found five more gunshot victims less than three blocks away. 

All the victims are being treated at hospitals, and two are in critical condition. 

Police don’t know if the two shootings are related

‘I’m here to bring you some news; some news that we are tired of hearing,’ Deputy Chief Ernest Cato said during a press briefing Wednesday night. 

‘This is becoming an effort where we’re going to need an all hands-on-deck approach,’ Cato said. ‘That approach is going to involve our community…our community who has cell phone photos, who has Facebook information, we’re going to need your help.’
