‘Did I just get roasted?’ she asked.

While she looked upset, Grace told Insider that she and her friend actually got a kick out of the rejection. Steph had flown to Florida to comfort her during her breakup, and they laughed about the encounter the rest of the day.

‘He totally meant Belle but that’s not how it came out! The man is just living up to his reputation!’ one TikToker commented.

‘He was in character and meant Belle! I wish he had made that clearer because it came off so mean,’ another added.

Grace told Insider that she thought the entire interaction was ‘so funny,’ adding that she ‘100 percent’ knew what she was getting into when she asked him out.

She noted that she wanted to shout back, ‘Well, you found her,’ but he was too far away by the time she thought of the comeback.

‘I think I deserved what I got by asking Gaston to ask me out,’ she said. ‘I try and interact with Disney characters in funny ways. I never want to catcall them and make them uncomfortable. So I hope Gaston finds this as funny as I do.’
