Emilia Clarke shares throwback pics of her with Game of Thrones co-star Iain Glen while welcoming him to Instagram

Emilia Clarke is sharing a number of throwback snaps from her Game of Thrones days in order to welcome her co-star Iain Glen to Instagram.

Clarke, 34, played Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, with Glen, 60, playing her closest advisor, Ser Jorah Mormont.

Glen joined Instagram for the first time over the weekend, with Clarke giving him a warm welcome on Monday.

‘The man. The myth. The LEGEND. @iainglen60 HAS JOINED INSTAGRAM!’ Clarke began, while sharing nine sstar-eyed emojis.

She added, ‘KHHHALLEEESSSSIIIII!!!,’ the Dothraki word that translates roughly to ‘queen,’ which Jorah frequently called her.

‘My hero and my guide for over a decade… please instaworld show this man the lovin he deserves,’ Clarke concluded.

A few hours after Clarke’s post, Glen shared another throwback snap from the Game of Thrones set himself, along with a sweet message for his co-star.

‘Not just a BRILLIANT actress but the loveliest and kindest of friends,’ Glen added in his post.

Both Clarke and Glen were among a handful of stars to be featured in all eight seasons of Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin’s book series.

Both actors have been keeping busy since Thrones wrapped its eight-season run in 2019, with Glen moving on to the TV series Titans, where he plays Bruce Wayne.

He also starred in a trio of 2020 movies, The Windermere Children with Thomas Kretschmann and Romala Garai, The Racer and Disney Plus’ Black Beauty with Kate Winslet and Mackenzie Foy.

He’ll next be seen in What About Love with Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia, slated for release on February 11, 2022.

Clarke returned to the big screen after Thrones, starring in movies Last Christmas and Above Suspicion.

She is currently working on The Amazing Maurice, based on the novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett.

The actress will return to the small screen in the highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series Secret Invasion.
