Organised mum shares her VERY simple trick for creating ‘fancy’ pantry labels on a budget

A mum-of-two has created her own ‘fancy’ pantry labels without spending a fortune.

The woman, from Western Australia, came up with a budget friendly solution to reorganise her pantry with personalised labels.

She used a $4 stamp set and $3 white tags from Kmart to create the labels.

‘For those of you like me who love the look of the fancy pantry labels but is not lucky enough to have one of those awesome Cricut machines,’ she wrote on Facebook.

‘Here’s my alternate “fancy” label making idea to tie to my baskets – a good old fashion stamp set.’ 

Fancy pantry labels can cost upwards of $2.50 each while a Cricut machine start from $349, excluding the $10.95 vinyl sheet. 

Her DIY project shows labels for cooking oils, spices, spreads, cans, meal base sauces and gravy, salt and pepper, glad wrap and foil,  bin bags and paper towels.

Many said her labels ‘look amazing’ and she would have saved a lot of money.

‘What a great idea,’ one wrote, while another added: ‘I did this with my wedding invites. Custom stamp on the save the dates and favour tags.’

Some revealed the retailer also sells pre-made pantry labels costing from as little as $3 for a pack of 96. 

In recent years, shoppers have been reorganising their kitchen – complete with a perfectly labelled pantry, neatly stacked household items and shelves arranged based on categories.

Many have transformed their homes using budget items such as storage containers, canisters, turntables, glass jars, cube shelves and baskets.
