Singer Jorge Santana has reportedly died at the age of 68 due to natural causes. 

The youngest brother of 72-year-old musical icon Carlos Santana – whose singles Maria Maria and Black Magic Woman are timeless – passed away on Thursday, according to his rep who talked to TMZ.

The San Francisco native was close to Carlos, whose band he played with in the 1990s, but he carved out a career of his own long  before that in the 1970s with the hit songs Suavecito, Darling I Love You, Love The Way and Sandy.

Jorge’s representative confirmed the sad news to the site. The singer passed away on Thursday of natural causes, the rep said. 

Jorge came from a big family. In addition to Carlos, he also had siblings Antonio, Laura, Irma, Maria and Leticia.

The star took to music early as he wanted to be like his older brother Carlos, who was gifted at a young age.

The both starting singing for the family as they grew up in a closeknit family in the Bay Area. 

At age 14 Jorge started playing professionally in San Francisco. And then in the 1960s he joined the band The Malibus with his high school friends.

In the 1970s they changed their name to Malo which means bad in Spanish.

The joke was that they didn’t play too well. 

The band did well with the song Suavecito while signed with Warner Bros music and they went on to play on the popular music and dance show American Bandstand in 1972.

Malo came out with a total of four albums then split up before he worked with  The Fania All-Stars.

He then went on to a solo career and that is when his hit song It’s all About Love came out.

The California native’s other standout songs are Darling I Love You, Love The Way and Sandy. 

In the 1990s, he began to tour with his famous brother Carlos – who has worked with Beyonce – and the collaborated on the 1994 album Santana Brothers.
