Russell Wilson and Ciara continue charitable efforts to keep people fed amid coronavirus pandemic: ‘To all the people working tirelessly we honor you and thank you’

Russell Wilson and Ciara aren’t letting up on their efforts to keep people fed.

The celeb couple, who have been tireless in promoting different charities and fundraisers aimed at curbing hunger, took to Twitter on Thursday with a message praising the essential workers and organizations helping keep the county running amid the shutdown stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The couple has been focusing on their charitable efforts as the impact of the virus has left millions of Americans in short food supply amid mass layoffs and high demand at grocery stores.

Good hearts: Russell Wilson, 31, and Ciara, 34, took to Twitter on Thursday with a message praising the essential workers and organizations helping keep the county running amid the shutdown stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic 

‘There are no limits to what we can achieve when we come together,’ the NFL superstar said. ‘To all the people working tirelessly we honor you and thank you.’

Ciara, 34, added: ‘From the farmers to the truck drivers, grocery store workers, store chefs and delivery workers, your sacrifice and determination deserves the highest praise.’

The 1, 2 Step singer also thanked ‘organizations like United Way and 211 for providing transportation to grocery stores to those in need with their Arrive United Campaign.’

The couple said they are channeling their efforts toward their Why Not You Foundation to aid both the essential workers and the efforts to combat hunger.

‘Through our Why Not You Foundation, we have always strived to empower change in the world, especially during times like this,’ the said in a statement, according to United Way . ‘Frontline workers in every field from medicine to food supply deserve our gratitude right now.’

‘That’s why we wanted to give our support to organizations like United Way and 211 for their sacrifice and hard work in delivering food to people in need through the Ride United program.’

The celeb pair have previously worked with organizations like the USO, the nonprofit Feeding America and the private jet company Wheels Up for Meals Up in their efforts to help quell the impact of COVID-19.

The duo is currently expecting their second child together – a boy – as they’re parents to daughter, Sienna, three, and son Future Zahir, six, who Ciara shares with rapper Future.

She told ET earlier this month that they were both appreciating this time that we’re having together in quarantine.

The Grammy-winning songstress added, ‘It’s a very surreal and unique time, but I do believe there’s a silver lining in all of it. There’s one really beautiful thing that’s come out of this, it’s us spending the time we’re having, because normally he’d be in training right now.’
