The three-time Grammy winner cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ in court documents, requesting joint legal and physical custody of their two children.

Her neighborhood outing came on the same day as her and Brandon’s daughter River Rose’s sixth birthday.
Kelly and the music manager, 43, tied the knot in October of 2013, also sharing son Remington Alexander, four.
She was recently spending quarantine with Brandon and the kids at their Montana home, where she remotely filmed her talk show and appearances on The Voice.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Kelly and Brandon had been having problems for several months and were making a conscious effort to work things out.
‘They both hoped quarantining away from LA in Montana would help them work things out in their marriage, but instead the change in environment was actually detrimental.’
The insider added: ‘The constant time together seemed to make an already challenging situation worse.
They said her career ‘definitely helped to keep her mind off things, but this recent downtime gave her the time she needed to think about her life and her marriage.’

The source continued: ‘Kelly and Brandon haven’t cut each other off; they are still talking to one another. They are both heartbroken, but their plan is to put the kids first.
‘Their focus is on co-parenting and moving forward, as this is the last place they ever thought they would be. They both understand divorce is never easy for children, but Kelly and Brandon are great parents. It’ll just take time.’
She filed for divorce on June 4, listing their separation date as ‘TBD’ on the court documents.
The American Idol star, who’s worth an estimated $45million, requested not to award Brandon spousal support, asking the court to honor their prenuptial agreement and that they both cover their own attorney fees.
She also requested to have her last name legally restored to Clarkson, after taking Blackstock as her surname in marriage.
Kelly and Brandon began dating in 2011, and he also shares daughter Savannah, 17, and son Seth, 13, with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth.
