The younger sister of movie star Nicole Kidman is celebrating her 50th birthday on Tuesday.
But mother-of-six Antonia isn’t sad about getting older- she’s excited to be greeting it with ‘open arms’.
Antonia said on Monday she sees each birthday as a ‘gift’ after losing her father Anthony following a heart attack in 2014.

‘In a society that seems to place so much emphasis on youth, I am going to buck the trend and look forward to the years ahead,’ she wrote in her column for 9 Honey .
The journalist-turned-lawyer admitted that Anthony’s sudden death had a profound impact on her, making her appreciate the simple things in life, such as swimming.
‘Life is a gift at any age, and moving forward I have an obligation to respect and savour every moment of it,’ she added.
‘In a society that seems to place so much emphasis on youth, I am going to buck the trend and look forward to the years ahead,’ she explained
Feeling much more ‘self-assured and in charge’ then she did in her 20s and 30s, Antonia says she no longer feels pressure to pursue her ‘dreams with frenzied abandon’.
Instead, she’s planning to focus on spending more time laughing with the people she loves and taking time out to do the activities she truly enjoys.
Last week, the doting mother sent fans into overdrive when she shared a sweet family photo with her lookalike daughter Lucia, 22, and one of her sons.

Followers rushed to comment, telling Antonia how much her children,particulary her daughter, look like her.
‘Lucia looks so much like you, absolutely gorgeous,’ one fan commented underneath.

Antonia has six children, four from her marriage to the late Angus Hawley, Lucia, Sybella, 13, Hamish, 19, and James, 17.
