Celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge shares a photo of himself recovering in a Sydney hospital from a mystery ailment

Colin Fassnidge is in hospital recovering from a mystery surgery.

The 45-year-old celebrity chef shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Private Hospital on Thursday.

In the black and white photo, Colin is pictured propped up by pillows as he laid in a hospital bed surrounded by medical machinery.

The My Kitchen Rules judge appeared slightly dazed, with a nasal cannula up his nostrils and stubble on his face.

He was dressed in a hospital gown, which was left slightly undone around his chest and shoulders. 

Despite his predicament, the personable star managed to muster up a thumbs up sign for the camera.

Maintaining his sense of humour, the Irish-born chef urged his followers to send him Slane Irish Whiskey.

‘ALIVE… sore… small op… send @slanewhiskey,’ he captioned the post, adding a prayer hands emoji.
