Celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge shares a photo of himself in hospital after surgery

Colin Fassnidge is in hospital recovering from a mystery surgery.

The 45-year-old celebrity chef shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Private Hospital on Thursday.

In the black and white photo, Colin is pictured propped up by pillows as he laid in a hospital bed surrounded by medical machinery.

The My Kitchen Rules judge appeared slightly dazed, with a nasal cannula up his nostrils and stubble on his face.

He was dressed in a hospital gown, which was left slightly undone around his chest and shoulders. 

Despite his predicament, the personable star managed to muster up a thumbs up sign for the camera.

While he didn’t go into details, Colin revealed he had been admitted to hospital for a ‘small op’.

Maintaining his sense of humour, the Irish-born chef urged his followers to send him Slane Irish Whiskey.

‘ALIVE… sore… small op… send @slanewhiskey,’ he captioned the post, adding a prayer hands emoji.

He also added the hashtag: ‘#illbeback’.

Many of Colin’s celebrity friends left comments on the post, wishing him a speedy recovery.

‘All the best young fella! You’re looking great… ish… couple of whiskys and you’ll be better than ever!’ commented Channel Seven sports presenter Mark Beretta.

‘Get better soon xx,’ added TV presenter Sally Obermeder, while celebrity chef Jason Roberts wrote, ‘Rest up buttercup x’.

Added celebrity stylist Donny Galella: ‘Get well soon Mr’.
