Christine Anu accidentally drops the F-bomb during a LIVE interview on The Project

The Project’s hosts got more than they bargained for when Christine Anu appeared during Tuesday’s episode.

The 50-year-old singer was being interviewed on the family friendly show when she accidentally dropped the F-bomb on live TV. 

Christine was asked if she’d consider re-releasing her hit single, Island Home, and her candid response left the show’s hosts stunned. 

‘You say re-release and I’ve done a f**king million versions,’ she said, before quickly realising her mistake and adding, ‘Oh, s**t! Did I swear?!’

After registering what she’d said, host Waleed Aly quickly announced that it was the end of the show.

‘Somebody put a mask on her now!’ shouted fellow host Peter Helliar.  

Christine’s appearance on the show came just a night after she was revealed as the Goldfish on The Masked Singer.

Earlier in the interview, the iconic Australian singer explained some of Goldfish’s more obscure clues.

Christine said there was a picture from The Karate Kid, because she was a ‘junior black belt’ as a child.

She also explained that the graduation certificate from the Australian National University was an anagram for her surname, ‘Anu’.

But Christine refused to elaborate on the clue about Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.

‘I can’t speak to Daniel Radcliffe… Can we get together after the program and talk about that?’ she asked teasingly Pete, 45.
