Georgia was rushed to hospital in Dubai on Christmas Eve after suffering from a ‘ruptured cyst’ which severely infected her organs.

Before being released from hospital, Georgia spoke from her hospital bed in a Dubai medical facility, on Boxing Day, as she recovered from the infection.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the Love Islander explained: ‘I had a ruptured cyst without knowing and it has caused multiple organs in my body to become severely infected, my kidneys being the worst.

‘The doctors here are amazing and we’re doing our best to fight the infection but currently I am still suffering with high fever, when not on paracetamol, and abdominal/ back pain.

‘Lots of you have been asking for an update so there it is, I’ve never been someone to shy of sharing my day to day life with my followers.’

She confessed that the experience was ‘scary’ and that she has never suffered anything like it, while thanking pals who are also in the country for their support.

She wrote: ‘I’ve never fallen ill like this before, the only time I’ve been in hospital was to pick up some boobs so it’s been a real shock to me and quite scary.

‘But I have lots of amazing friends in Dubai who have bought me presents, clothes, flowers, food and I’m in extremely good hands when it comes to the medical team here.

Georgia revealed she had been hospitalised and placed on a drip during her trip to Dubai.

She admitted she was ‘scared’ of the prospect of spending Christmas alone as she told fans doctors were keeping her in for the next three days despite testing negative for COVID-19.

Georgia had been openly documenting her sunny getaway having jetted straight there from The Maldives, where she narrowly escaped the UK’s COVID-19 lockdown.

Georgia took to Instagram Stories to share a video from her hospital bed that showed the drip attached to her arm.

She wrote: ‘I don’t want to panic you all because I’m in a stable condition, but I’ve got to be kept in for three days.

‘That’s why I’m not out with everyone tonight. I’ve never spent Christmas Eve on my own, let alone in hospital in Dubai.

‘This has been the maddest week of my life. It’s not COVID – they’ve done a COVID test, so that’s one thing.

‘My throat is fine. But it could be other things. I am a bit scared, but I’m going to keep everyone updated. I love you all.’

Georgia added she’d be turning off her mobile phone as she was ‘worried’ about her mum being bombarded with message regarding her welfare.

The star did go onto praise hospital staff for their care, insisting that despite the prospect of spending Christmas alone she was being well looked-after.
