Lisa Curry shares a heartbreaking post to mark the seven month anniversary of her daughter Jaimi’s death revealing she has ‘learned to hide’ her grief

Lisa Curry is grieving the death of her daughter Jaimi, who tragically died on September 14 last year at the age of 33.

On Wednesday, the three-time Olympian, 58, shared a special tribute to her eldest daughter as she marked the seven month anniversary of her death.

In her heartbreaking social media post, Lisa revealed ‘it’s hard to talk about the pain and fear that is felt daily.’

She reminisced on the advice others have given her during this grieving period. 

‘Life goes on. People say you get stronger… You don’t. You just learn to hide it better,’ she added. 

‘It saddens me greatly that life goes on without Jaimi… constantly stopping to remember that she’s not here… that she didn’t see little Taj. So many beautiful moments that she would have loved. But we still include her in everything we do.’

She also used her post to share a message of hope with followers. 

‘Keep fighting and don’t give up. Where there is life there is hope. Life is so precious and there’s so much to look forward to.’

The proud mum concluded her post by stating: ‘Jaimi was so loved and is so missed.  We hide our tears when we say her name, but the pain in our hearts is still the same. Remembering our Jaimi.’

‘Never a moment goes by where Jaimi is not thought about. Our beautiful girl who loved flowers for any occasion, in fact… there really didn’t need to be an occasion because flowers just brightened up her day.. any day,’ she wrote in the post.

Lisa announced Jaimi’s death in an emotional social media post on September 15 – one day after her passing.

‘Our beautiful daughter Jaimi has lost her battle with a long-term illness and passed away peacefully in hospital yesterday morning with her loving family by her side,’ she wrote at the time.

It was later reported that Jaimi had battled alcoholism and an eating disorder before her death at a Sunshine Coast hospital.

Lisa and ex-husband Grant Kenny, 57, are also parents to son Jett, 27, and daughter Morgan, 29.
