While customers were delighted with the trick, Woolworths employees begged viewers not to use it because of how easily the machines get jammed.

‘Please don’t do it, it jams and then we have to fix it,’ one worker wrote.

‘The mechanics jam when you put them in normal, do this and it’s fully broken,’ added another.

The revelation is the latest supermarket hack to take Australian social media by storm.

The mum-of-two decorated the cakes with stunning pink buttercream flowers and hearts, leaving them unrecognisable from how they were bought.

She bought a ’30-something’ cake topper for the dessert which she paired with a golden palm frond for decoration.

Her handiwork has been described as ‘the best supermarket hack yet’, with hundreds of home cooks commenting on the design.

The mum posted photos of her creation in a Facebook group and said the cake was much larger than she expected once it was finished.

She also shared screenshots of her recipe to explain how she managed to decorate the cakes so professionally.

‘Your cake has left me speechless, just how? What an excellent cake designer,’ one woman replied.

‘Thank you for giving such clear instructions, so people like me can attempt a hack like this,’ said another.
