Others said they are bulk buying as much as they can carry.

‘I’ve already cleared out the joint at my local Aldi,’ one man wrote.

‘I’ve just spent $100+ on prawn cocktail and pickled onion crisps, Worcestershire sauce, fruit pastilles, revels, shrimp and bananas, club mint, penguins, wisps, HP sauce and black pudding!’ a second added.

Another replied: ‘Me too! Only went in for a loaf.’

One woman said she spent $200 on crisps and chocolate and ‘couldn’t be happier’.

A second said she made two trips to stock up on prawn cocktail crisps after spotting them in-store.

‘Well worth it,’ she wrote.

Others tagged their friends, begging them to drive them to Aldi over the weekend.

The snacks are said to be available at remarkably affordable prices.

One man said he paid $1.49 for a pack of six Penguin bars and just $3.49 for a box of Yorkshire tea – more than $1 cheaper than the same box from Coles or Woolworths.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Aldi for comment.
