A mum has discovered a secret page on the Aldi Australia website that allows shoppers to check the availability of popular Special Buys products.
Posting on the Aldi Mums Facebook page, Irene said she was fed up with always missing out on purchasing her favourite sponges when they returned to shelves but was pleasantly surprised when she was told about the Special Buys Stock Checker.
‘Did everyone know that Aldi has this new stock check feature on their website? I have always found it annoying that I could never check which stores had the Special Buys,’ she wrote.
‘After going to Aldi today and yet again these sponges were sold out, the check-out guy mentioned this feature to me which he said has been around for a little while. Awesome idea and it even indicates if they are selling fast.’
The feature makes it easier for customers to keep up to date with the latest product information and will ensure to never miss out on a buy.

Irene said she found the feature ‘useful’ and managed to track down everything she needed.
The ‘stock checker’ can be found on the Special Buys tab under ‘check available stock’ on the Aldi website.
Customers simply need to search for the item they want to buy along with their postcode or nearest Aldi store location.
The feature will display an image of the product, the price, along with added information and the availability at the nearest location.
It will show a list of suggested products the shopper may also wish to purchase.

After recommending the feature on Facebook others admitted they too weren’t aware of the stock checker.
‘Thanks, never knew it existed,’ one person wrote, another said: ‘Yes it is handy!’
But others deemed the page to be somewhat unreliable as customers can’t check for stock until 24 after it goes on sale.
‘It’s good but doesn’t work same day the Special Buys are on sale,’ one person said.
‘Good luck if it will search for your item, it never works for me,’ another said.
