A man has revealed the contents of a heartwarming note he found at the beach which was addressed to ‘anyone feeling troubled’.
The note, which was written in a distinct cursive hand, encouraged people to ‘let themselves shine’ and was pinned down with a rock by the sea pool at Dee Why on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
‘If you are troubled, please read,’ the front of the envelope read.

The note, which was written in a distinct cursive hand, encouraged people to ‘let themselves shine’ and was pinned down with a rock by the sea pool at Dee Why on Sydney’s Northern Beaches
Inside was an inspiring message that read: ‘Indulge yourself in your ambition. Your hard work and cleverness will pay off. Allow yourself the confidence to shine.’
The man who found the note couldn’t help but post photos of it online.
‘Saw this letter on the rock near the sea pool. I read it and put it back there. Hope it will help other people. Life is beautiful,’ he wrote alongside the photos of the thoughtful note.
And it was as well received online as it had been in person.
‘Touches your heart! A caring person spent the time to write this, so touching. There are so many beautiful people in this world,’ one woman wrote.
‘Human beings are so amazing and caring,’ wrote another.
The post was liked by 1300 people with dozens leaving comments labeling the small act of kindness as ‘amazing’, ‘wonderful’, and ‘heartwarming’.
‘Everyone needs this message at some point of our lives. Thankyou for passing this on and keep this message alive,’ one woman said.
The man was so pleased with the heartwarming note he shared pictures of it online
‘Never give up on life we have one life and make it what you want,’ advised another.
Others shared their own experience with notes and messages left by kind-hearted strangers.
‘A few years ago when I was in an abusive relationship I walked up to a cliff edge and found “don’t jump” painted on the cliff edge. It saved my life. I now have an amazing supportive partner and five-month-old daughter,’ one woman said.
