Euro 2020: Jamie Carragher slams England captain Harry Kane for sub-par display vs Germany

Furious Jamie Carragher SLAMS Harry Kane’s display for England against Germany after another sub-par showing and says the forward has ‘got to get himself into the game’ as he urges Gareth Southgate to sub him off

Jamie Carragher was far from happy with Harry Kane‘s efforts in England’s last-16 clash against Germany – hitting back at claims he was lacking service and urged Gareth Southgate to sub him off.

Kane has been widely criticised for his below-par displays so far at Euro 2020, with many fans and pundits calling for the Spurs striker to be dropped, but his boss Southgate kept faith with him for the pivotal clash at Wembley.

But with Kane missing a huge chance towards the end of the first half and barely touching the ball otherwise, Carragher was left furious and said the England captain simply wasn’t getting himself involved in the game enough.

‘FFS! Stop talking about getting Kane into the game!!’ The Liverpool legend Tweeted.

‘He’s got to get himself into the game. Gareth needs to change him.’
