‘The kids loved it, I will be keeping some for back-up in the freezer,’ she added.

The mum said it was ‘a little dry’ for her palate but others said adding some cream or extra cheese ‘fixes everything’.

‘I sprinkle a French onion mix, add a little cream and cheese, yum,’ one woman said.

Others said they mix the potato bake with the retailer’s broccoli bake to make it more interesting.

‘I could eat it all day,’ one woman admitted.

‘I could easily demolish a whole bag of the broccoli myself, so tasty,’ said another.

Another creative home cook even used the pre-prepared potato bake on top of their shepherd’s pie.

‘Left to right is potato bake, Mediterranean bake, and then the broccoli and cauliflower bake mixed,’ she said adding a picture of them cooking in her oven.
