AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Olivier Giroud on permanent basis from Chelsea.
The French striker scored 39 goals in 119 appearances for Chelsea – winning the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup with the club.
However, he will now wear the number 9 jersey in Italy as he looks to make his mark of Serie A.

The announcement came after Giroud completed his medical at Milan’s La Madonnina clinic on Friday morning.
Following his medical at approximately 7am, the striker took to Twitter to thank Chelsea for the ‘special moments’ he experienced at the club and express his excitement over his ‘new journey’.
‘To all the Blues, to my teammates, to all my coaches, to the whole club, a huge thank you for these special moments,’ he wrote.
‘I’m starting a new journey with a light and happy heart. Our victories in FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League have been magnificent.’
