I’m A Celebrity’s Giovanna Fletcher and AJ Pritchard receive sweet messages from home

I’m A Celebrity‘s Giovanna Fletcher was left emotional as she finally received a sweet message from her husband Tom and their children on Wednesday’s show.

The author, 35, who previously missed out on a letter from home , was overjoyed as she got the message from Tom, along with some chocolate hobknobs.

Earlier in the episode, AJ Pritchard and Jessica Plummer earned the notes by taking part in the Castle Coin Challenge, which saw them transfer food from bucket to bucket for Humphrey the horse.

The duo were tasked with transporting food into Humphrey’s starter main and dessert pails, but as the buckets were tied on chains they had to throw the food from one to the other.

While it was not an easy task, and the pair accidentally covered each other in some of Humphrey’s food, they did succeed, with AJ helping to finish the task by carrying the final mollases in his wellington boot.

After winning the bag of coins from Humphrey’s mouth they were offered to either take the remaining treats from home for AJ, Giovanna and Jordan, or a fruit platter, and Jessica chose the former.

The camp was then asked by Kiosk Cledwyn to guess how many stars they’d won so far, 141 or 121 and the group opted for 141 which was correct.

Vernon Kay read the message Tom had sent to Giovanna in which he joked that he wanted her to take the kids from him so that he could get some sleep.

After hearing the message, Giovanna said: ‘It’s really special to receive it. I did think it was something that was long gone.’

Jessica read AJ’s message from girlfriend Abbie Quinnen, who had sent him chocolate, and he gushed: ‘It was that lift I felt like I needed, that warmth, that hug that I can’t get right now.’

Shane Richie read the note Jordan had been sent by his mum and dad, who told him that he should believe in himself and gifted him a Kinder Bueno.

Jordan was moved by their message, as he told the group: ‘I genuinely thought that ship had sailed and then when I got out of here I’d ask my mum what she’d said. I never expected it today. I’m so glad I got it in camp.’

The moment comes after Giovanna was left in tears after failing to win a letter earlier in the week.

Speaking in the castle telegraph after failing to win her letter, a tearful Giovanna admitted she was desperate to hear from Tom and their three children, Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two.

She said: ‘How lovely would it be to hear from Tom and the boys, just a sentence?

‘Your heart aches and then you attach yourself to anything… it’s a sentence and I’m going to pretend each sentence anyone gets is from the kids and I’m going to adopt them like they’re mine.’
