Stacey recently told Daily Mail Australia that she inherited an undisclosed amount of money from both her father and brother’s estates following their tragic deaths several years ago.

The law graduate and her mother went on to put the money into a family trust, later using it to start several business ventures together in South Australia.

‘I had my own financial stability [before the show] with more than Michael could have provided,’ said Stacey, hitting back at claims she’s a ‘gold digger’.

During Monday’s homestay episode, Michael, who is the millionaire company director of Adelaide Ice, was left speechless at Stacey’s lifestyle.

‘Stacey’s definitely got expensive tastes. To be honest with you, thinking of the price [of her bags], makes me cringe a little bit,’ he said while exploring her home.

‘We’ve got the pimped out Range Rover, a Louis Vuitton expo in the cupboard and a Valentino shoe collection that’d make Marilyn Monroe look frugal.

‘I work hard but Stacey wants a Hollywood lifestyle. I can’t keep up with that.’

The couple later clashed as Stacey joked about becoming a ‘trophy wife’.

A surprised Michael asked Stacey if she wanted a ‘full traditional’ relationship, and the blonde beauty said she did.

‘Yeah, and I’ll spend it,’ she added of Michael’s money, prompting the millionaire businessman to raise his eyebrows.

When Michael asked Stacey if ‘housewife’ was her ‘calling’, she quickly corrected him, telling him she thought of herself as a ‘trophy wife’.
