He’s the serial prankster taking advantage of people working remotely amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And as Hamish Blake continues to share footage of himself hijacking Zoom conference calls, fans have noticed an interesting detail in the background of his home office.

The 38-year-old comedian’s bookshelf is sorted by colour, rather than by the authors’ names or subject matter.

‘So loving the perfectly colour-coordinated book collection backdrop. It’s so beautiful,’ one fan recently commented.

It’s no surprise Hamish’s books are arranged in this aesthetically pleasing way; his wife, Zoë Foster Blake, is a beauty guru and published author.

The couple keep their books with black spines on the top shelf.

The second shelf features orange and pink-toned books, while blue and green tones are located on the shelf underneath.

The bottom shelf is reserved for books with white spines. 

Sharing a photo of her bookshelf on Instagram, Zoë wrote: ‘I enjoy reading lots of books each year – my rainbow shelves above are proof.’

Revealing once she reads a book, it is then sorted by its colour to her collection.

Blake and Zoë aren’t the only celebrities who have a colour-coded collection of books. 

Last week, author J.K Rowling revealed she was keeping herself distracted in self-isolation by rearranging her books in the same style as the pair.
